Your role as a senior surveyor will involve working on a broad range of projects with a focus on executing the larger more complex surveys. You will be a mentor to junior members of staff with the aim of helping them reach their full potential within our team. 


You must have proven experience in undertaking topographical and measured surveys using total stations and 3D laser scanners. Your work would involve surveying on site and then working at our head office in Welwyn producing high quality 2D and 3D survey deliverables. Remote working is possible and will be dependent on the project/role being undertaken. 


We actively support professional development for all employees and you would have the opportunity for further training. The company is a member The Survey Association and maintains a quality management system registered to ISO9001:2008. Most survey staff are members of the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES). 


Ideal requirements;

  • At least 5 years experience, preferably with relevant qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of working with modern survey instruments, including total stations, GPS and 3D laser scanners.
  • Multi-disciplined – experience in topographical surveys, measured building surveys, utility surveys, engineering, monitoring.
  • Experience of working with LSS, Starnet, Cyclone, AutoCAD
  • The ability to work both alone and as part of our survey team
  • Experience in tendering/quoting for work
  • Experience in managing and coordinating survey teams
  • Ability to train people and promote survey best practices
  • Member of CICES and/or RICS (or working towards)
