Terrain Surveys are pleased to announce our approval as a Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES) Approved Development Partner. The scheme provides Terrain Surveys employees a structured programme of development across key competencies set out by the ICES.
A key part of Terrain Surveys ethos and culture has been the development of our staff. Training and keeping pace with new and developing technologies has been integral to our success. By partnering with the ICES we aim to strengthen our development and training programme which will benefit each of our survey staff to efficiently gain professionally qualifications.
The Approved Development Scheme (ADS) is an agreement between a company and the ICES that defines the training, development and experience that will be made available to a new entrant or established civil engineering surveyor who wishes to gain a professional qualification. The scheme provides a framework in which each trainee records his or her development and receives guidance and assessment at regular intervals. The aim of the scheme is to provide all trainees with a coherent and well-structured programme of development, which makes maximum use of the resources available, and will provide the skills and knowledge necessary to prepare for the ICES membership review interview.
