We carry out a huge number of measured surveys for domestic properties throughout the UK. These generally include a full topographical survey of the site extents, detailed internal floorplans, sections and external elevations.
The survey Brief
In order for architects to provide planning and design services for modifications or extensions to a property they will require a high quality and reliable measured survey of the property. Accurate as-built plans are the foundation to any project progressing smoothly as they ultimately ensure the designs will fit into the space available.
Domestic surveys are both time and price sensitive and require a cost effective and effecient service to meet deadlines and budget.

The majority of domestic surveys can be completed on site in just 1 day, where a typical project requiring a topographical survey, floor plans and elevations will involve a team of 3 on site for 1 day. The topographical survey is usually carried out by a team of 2 using a total staion, wheras the measured building survey is generally carried out by a single surveyor using a 3D laser scanner as the primary source of data capture.
On completion of the site work the data is processed using specialist survey software. Following a careful and thorough QA process as-built survey drawings can be extracted, the survey drawings are produced either by the survey team who attended site or by our dedicated in-house CAD department.
