Overview
Terrain Surveys were pleased to have been instructed to undertake this utility survey in Solihull, Birmingham, by our client, a Midlands-based commercial property specialist. Our team were tasked with locating all underground services within a building which houses several retail units, in order to support a potential development project.
The Challenge
From our Rugby office, the team made the short journey to Solihull, a vibrant area located to the south of Birmingham city centre, to undertake the survey. In order to provide clear site context, an accurate, up-to-date topographical survey was required. Our experienced team of topographical surveys attended to record all natural and man-made features across the site, such as carriageways, vegetation and fences.
Once the topographical survey was complete, our utility survey team attended and, using GPR and EML equipment and techniques, began the process of locating services such as gas, water, electricity, comms and drainage runs. Upon completion of the survey, our team returned to our Midlands office to process the data, ahead of providing the final drawings to the client.
The Result
