Lewis Coleman
Senior Revit Technician
lewis@terrainsurveys.co.uk“If you can see it, you can model it — that’s what makes the job worth it.”
Lewis Coleman has been part of Terrain Surveys for over a decade — though he’ll tell you it started with a rain-soaked field in Stevenage and a chest infection. He turned up to help out for a few weeks… and never left.
Lewis spent his first seven years out on site, getting to grips with every corner of topographical and measured building surveying. But it was his eye for visuals and detail that drew him inside: when Revit came along, Lewis jumped at the chance to lead Terrain’s modelling work into 3D.
Today he heads up our Revit output — creating the detailed, walk-through models that help clients really understand their spaces. For Lewis, that’s what makes the job special: turning millions of points and pipes into something you can see and almost touch. He loves the mix of precision and creativity — and he’s first to test new tools and scripts that make Terrain’s models faster and sharper than ever.
Lewis works remotely from Bristol these days (don’t ask him about the train fare) but he’s never far from the team — or the latest gaming launch.
He’s especially proud of the standout projects he’s worked on — like modelling Leicester City’s King Power Stadium (under NDA, sadly!) and detailed heritage sites and major HQs that push the limits of what Revit can do.
Lewis’s goal for the future? Grow the Revit side, keep Terrain ahead of the curve, and make sure every model goes out to a standard that makes him proud to put his name to it.
