Project Summary
Christchurch Mansion is a Tudor Mansion located in Christchurch Park, Ipswich. The Grade I listed building is now part of the Colchester and Ipswich Museum Service, housing collections of pottery and glass and paintings by artists including John Constable and Thomas Gainsborough.
Survey Brief
We were commissioned by Ipswich Borough Council to provide a measured building survey of the mansion house and topographical survey of the surrounding gardens. This measured survey was required to support a programme of building improvements which included upgrading of the building services and major roofing work.

- A comprehensive survey schedule was provided and all survey work completed with minimal disruption to the museum which remained open to the public
- The survey was completed using a combination of 3D laser scanning and traditional topographical survey methods
- Using 3D laser scanning for the building survey allowed us to complete the work quickly, providing a highly accurate comprehensive set of data of the ornate and historical features
