Volumetric Survey, Hertfordshire
Volume Survey, Hertfordshire
Terrain Surveys were contacted by Chartered Town Planner, Simon Murphy, of Urban & Rural Planning Solutions, to provide a solution for his client who wanted to solve a problem of waterlogging on an area of his land. The site already had some existing stockpiles of soil materials and the proposal was to grade the land to form an acceptable profile while avoiding the need to import or export any further soil material.
We initially carried out a topographical survey using a GPS SmartRover and included the soil stockpiles to estimate their volumes. Using our ground modelling software we produced a landform design plan and cross sections that met the client’s requirements and also satisfied the planning regulations of Hertfordshire County Council.
