Overview
Broadwater Farm is a large, 1970s-built housing estate in Tottenham, north London. In recent years, Haringey Council have identified that remedial works are necessary to a number of the housing blocks to ensure they are structurally safe.
The Challenge
We were commissioned by our client, Engie, to undertake a PAS128 Survey across the entire estate site, along with a 3D Topographical Survey. As well as the topographical survey and PAS128 survey, we also carried out a measured building survey to three of the estate’s residential blocks. For all three measured surveys, we were provided with a comprehensive survey schedule by the council in order to mitigate disruption, particularly to the shopping malls.
The Outcome
A highly-detailed topographical survey was produced of the central square and shopping malls, together with the surrounding building elevations. We ensured that the survey progressed with minimal disruption to the busy shopping centre. Prior to issuing the final survey deliverables, the survey was checked to our stringent QA checking procedures. Terrain Surveys were pleased to have delivered the survey well within the agreed timescales and to a tight budget.
Should you be looking to instruct a PAS128 Survey, Topographical Survey or other form of measured survey, Terrain Surveys would be pleased to assist.
