Project Summary
Ripon College is a Church of England theological college located in rural Oxfordshire, near the village of Cuddesdon, established in 1854. To support a programme of new build and refurbishments, an extensive measured survey was carried out.
Survey Brief
We were instructed by Graham McGinty of Hopper Howe Sadler Architects to provide extensive measured surveys of the college estate. This included a comprehensive topographical survey of the extensive grounds and floor plans and elevations of all college buildings.
Key Facts
- A comprehensive survey schedule was provided to our client and the survey work progressed with minimal disruption to the busy estate.
- The survey was completed using a combination of 3D laser scanning and traditional topographical survey methods.
- A large pointcloud dataset resulted from the extensive laser scanning, which was used to accurately plot detailed floor plans and elevations.
- Prior to issuing the final survey deliverables the survey was checked to our stringent QA checking procedures
- The survey was completed well within the agreed timescales and to a tight budget
